Spring inspirations: Lucky and Boden rd. 2

There was only one thing that I liked in this month’s Lucky (aside from a new haircut idea): a sleeveless dress from Kensie with pleat detailing at the scoop neck. I can’t find a decent pic online; the Kensie site is a hideous Flash extravaganza. I think the trends in RTW right now are just not my style. Oh well, more reason to sew.

I did come across a couple other cute things from Boden, after I looked at the print catalog in addition to the website.

Chic Textured Jacket: A cute spring topper with a bit of a retro swing vibe. The one button is at the yoke seam and could be done as an in-seam buttonhole. This would be nice in a cotton pique or a lightweight tweed.

New version of the tie-back knit top. NL 6729 would reproduce this perfectly.

Silk trim scoop neck. Nice way to add flair to a top, with a channel topstitched visible facing.

Another skirt with an applique detail, but modern and not too cutesy.
