Food friday: does your lasagna fall apart?

I made lasagna the other day and while it was tasty, it had the same problem my lasagna usually does – it falls apart once you slice it. It tastes the same either way, thankfully, but it never looks like the pretty stuff from a restaurant. I’ve tried various fillings and while some are less problematic, all fall apart more or less. (This week’s was beef/pork with kale and the usual cheese and tomato bits.)

Is there some trick to keeping lasagna neat and together, or is this a fool’s errand?

  1. not sure..but I think it has to do with how fresh the pan of lasagna is..consider making it the day before – don’t cook the noodles all the way or use the no-boil ones and partially cook the pan.like for 30 mins….then reheat it the next day..
Also..are you using egg in your ricotta? You could try upping the egg..and putting a bit more mozzarella between the layers to glue it all together..

    good luck!
